Mark Robichaux is the editorial director of the Television Group at NewBay Media, which includes Multichannel News and B&C magazines and websites. Previously he was editor-in-chief at both B&C and Multichannel News, which cover the television business. Most of his professional career has been dedicated to helping the biggest media firms in the U.S. create better content, extend brand equity and increase profitability. He’s earned a reputation as an effective leader with a loyal staff who communicates goals clearly and delivers results on time. He is the author of Cable Cowboy: John Malone and the rise of the modern cable industry. For 12 years, from 1989 to 2001, he was a staff reporter at the Wall Street Journal, writing frequently for Page One, covering among other things, the television industry and small business. His work has appeared in various newspapers and national magazines. From 1987 to 1989, Robichaux was a reporter for the Miami Herald, covering crime, local government and tourism. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia. A full-blooded Cajun, he grew up in Louisiana fishing, hunting and becoming a master at making gumbo. He now lives in Stamford, CT with his wife and two children.
