Individual and Team Excellence Awards

Who is the award for? Integrators and AV consultants/consultancies of any size, with at least one employees based in the UK

Who can enter? Anyone from the AV supply chain can nominate integrators/consultants for this award

The award: The award is designed to recognise the contribution made by systems integrators or consultants to the successful creation, management, and fulfilment of AV projects. Entries should relate to a standalone and ‘standout’ project completed during the period of March 2018 to February 2019. Alternatively, up to three projects can be put forward by way of context to underline an SI’s/consultant’s consistent excellence during the period.

Nominations should include examples of:

  • Innovation – in technology and/or process
  • Achievement of strategic goals
  • Adding value to the client offering
  • Improved business performance
  • High levels of customer satisfaction

All nominations should be supported with case studies and testimonials from the clients where available.

Who can enter? Anyone from the AV supply chain can nominate in-house (end user) AV teams for this award

The Award: Recognising an in-house team that has displayed consistent excellence in the delivery and maintenance of AV solutions within their business, or in the delivery of a major project or event during the period of March 2018 to February 2019.

Nominations should provide examples of:

  • The team’s achievements during the year, including but not restricted to:
    • Consistent excellence in project/event delivery
    • Consistent excellence in project/event management and organisation
    • Innovative use of solutions to enhance the quality of projects/events
  • Creating business/cost efficiencies
  • Examples of how the team’s performance has positively benefited the business

All nominations should be supported by case studies and/or testimonials from colleagues/clients where available.

Who is the award for? Manufacturers and solutions providers, with at least one employee based in the UK  

Who can enter? Nominations are open to all members of the AV supply chain nominating a manufacturer

The Award: Recognising the achievements of AV manufacturers and solutions providers in bringing innovative products to market between March 2018 and February 2019.

Nominations should provide examples of:

  • Consistent excellence in the creation and delivery of new and innovative AV products and solutions to the market during the period (no more than three products should be used by way of example).
  • Innovation in technology
  • Achievement of strategic goals
  • Improved business performance
  • High levels of customer satisfaction
  • Impact on the wider industry

All nominations should be supported by at least two or more testimonials from clients, including integrators and end users.

Who is the award for? Distributors, with at least one employee based in the UK 

Who can enter? Nominations are open to all members of the AV supply chain nominating a distributor

The Award: Recognising the achievements, innovation and value AV distributors bring to the AV market and channel for the period of March 2018 to February 2019.

Nominations should provide examples of:

  • Examples of the distributor’s achievements during the year
  • Consistent excellence in the delivery of AV products and solutions to the market
  • Innovative value added services offered to customers (beyond traditional box shifting)
  • Contract wins that have expanded and enhanced the choice and availability of AV products and solutions
  • Implementation of new operational practices, why these were undertaken, and what benefits they have brought to partners
  • Evidence of outstanding customer service
  • Improved turnover and/or margin figures (improved financial performance may be represented by percentage growth rather than actual figures)
  • Enhancing engagement with the market, including any campaigns and events which have had a positive impact on relationships (integrators and brands) and/or sales.

All nominations should be supported by at least two testimonials from clients, including at least one integrator and one AV manufacturer.

Who is the award for? New or emerging AV professionals from across the industry

Who can enter? Anyone from the AV supply chain can nominate someone for this award. Self nominations are also welcome

The Award: Recognising a new or emerging AV professional (across the entire industry) who has made a standout contribution to the technical, operational, or commercial performance of a business during the period of February 2018 and March 2019.

Nominations should include:

  • Examples of the candidate’s achievements in their role
  • Details of where or/and how the candidate has made a significant contribution
  • Any examples where the candidate’s work has directly resulted in a commercial or operational business benefit.
  • Examples of innovation shown in problem solving or bringing a project to completion

All nominations should be supported by case studies (if applicable) and testimonials from at least two colleagues/clients.

Recognising the people and teams at the forefront of innovation and development in the creation and management of professional AV solutions

Project Excellence Awards

Recognising outstanding installations of professional AV technologies and solutions across all major sectors in the period between February 2018 and March 2019. Entries can be made either individually (i.e an end user or integrator) or collectively (i.e an end user with an integrator)

Size isn’t everything: Whether you’re a small one-man-band or a multinational corporate – you will have an equal chance of winning. In addition to the main judging criteria, please remember to stipulate why the project you are entering merits special recognition. 

Who is the award for? Manufacturers, integrators, consultants, end users. Please stipulate whether the award is for an individual company, or collection of companies. At least one representative for the nominated recipient(s) should be based in the UK

Who can enter? Anyone from the AV supply chain can nominate a company or group of companies for a project award

The award: Recognising excellence in the deployment and impact of AV technology inside schools, colleges, universities and other learning environments such as conference centres and corporate training centres.

Nominations should include information on the following:

  • The purpose of the project
  • Timeframe from concept to completion
  • How the project budget was met and/or cost savings made
  • Names of outsourced advisers/consultants/integrators used
  • The tangible benefits the installation has brought to the business/facility
  • Any additional (bonus) benefits

Award: Recognising excellence in the deployment and impact of AV technology inside professional workspaces. Examples include (but are not limited to) boardrooms, offices, huddle rooms, atriums, control rooms, simulation/visualisation facilities and so on.

Nominations should include information on the following:

  • The purpose of the project
  • Timeframe from concept to completion
  • How the project budget was met and/or cost savings made
  • Names of outsourced advisers/consultants/integrators used
  • The tangible benefits the installation has brought to the business/facility
  • Any additional (bonus) benefits

Award: Recognising excellence in the deployment and impact of AV technology inside hospitality areas, such as hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants, and public venues where design and ambience are important considerations.

  • Names of outsourced advisers/consultants/integrators used
  • The tangible benefits the installation has brought to the business/facility
  • Any additional (bonus) benefits

Award: Recognising excellence in the deployment and impact of AV technology in the overlapping worlds of retail technology and digital out-of-home technology. Any installation in a retail environment, and any DOOH installation wherever located, is eligible for entry.

 Nominations should include information on the following:

 The purpose of the project

  • Timeframe from concept to completion
  • How the project budget was met and/or cost savings made
  • Names of outsourced advisers/consultants/integrators used
  • The tangible benefits the installation has brought to the business/facility
  • Any additional (bonus) benefits

Who is the award for? Manufacturers, integrators, consultants, end users. Please stipulate whether the award is for an individual company, or collection of companies. At least one representative for the nominated recipient(s) should be based in the UK

Who can enter? Anyone from the AV supply chain can nominate a company or group of companies for a project award

Award: Recognising excellence in the deployment and impact of AV technology for projects located anywhere that people have come to watch, and possibly participate in, a ‘show’ in the broadest possible sense. It includes, for instance, concert halls, stadiums, smaller live music venues, cinemas, arts centres, multipurpose halls, houses of worship, etc. There are no upper or lower limits on venue capacity.

 Nominations should include information on the following:

 The purpose of the project

  • Timeframe from concept to completion
  • How the project budget was met and/or cost savings made
  • Names of outsourced advisers/consultants/integrators used
  • The tangible benefits the installation has brought to the business/facility
  • Any additional (bonus) benefits

The award: Recognising excellence in the deployment and impact of AV technology in public attraction venues, such as installations in museums, theme parks, zoos, galleries, historical sites, etc – either new projects or system upgrades. There is no limit on the size and scale of the attraction venue.

 Nominations should include information on the following:

  • Timeframe from concept to completion
  • How the project budget was met and/or cost savings made
  • Names of outsourced advisers/consultants/integrators used
  • The tangible benefits the installation has brought to the business/facility

Recognising excellence in innovation for professional AV products and solutions released between February 2018 and March 2019.

Who is the award for? Product manufacturers

Who can enter? Anyone from the AV supply chain can nominate a manufacturer for a technology excellence award, based on a specific product launched during the period

The award: The award recognises products for their quality of performance, design, and build; innovation shown in engineering and production methods; and game-changing technical capability. 

Nominations should include:

  • What sets the product apart from competitor products
  • How the product demonstrates innovative manufacturing techniques
  • Stand out feature(s) unique to the product
  • Examples where the product has been used and the benefits provided (i.e improved performance and/or financial gains)

Outstanding Contribution Award

Awarded to an individual in recognition of their service to, and/or influence within, the professional AV industry.

 Who can nominate?

  • Consultants/distributors/manufacturers/systems integrators/end users nominating an individual with whom they have worked who has demonstrated outstanding service to
  • Other nominations from within the pro AV community will be accepted as long as they contain detailed evidence as to why certain people or teams are worthy of being recognised

 Nominations should include some or all of the following:

  • The candidate’s standout career achievements
  • Their length of service to the industry
  • Examples of their influence as a business leader, role model, or technical pioneer
  • Testimonials detailing the difference they’ve made within pro AV

 All nominations should be supported by case studies and/or testimonials from colleagues/clients where available.
