Samantha Rose

VP Director, Video Investment
Horizon Media

Samantha Rose is a leader at Horizon Media, overseeing National Video buying for the agency’s Capital One, Sleep Number, A&E Networks, Publisher’s Clearing House and Stanley Steemer clients.  She is Horizon Media homegrown talent with an eleven year tenure at the agency – previously working on accounts spanning multiple verticals including GEICO, HGTV, and David’s Bridal. Currently, she is responsible for overseeing both upfront and scatter negotiations within the video landscape for her client roster.

Rose joined Horizon over a decade ago, and has since risen through the ranks to her current role as VP Director, Video Investment. Under Sam’s leadership, the National Video team has grown from a group of 12 employees to a powerhouse of over 80 people – 11 of whom report directly to Samantha. She has played an integral role in first to market executions for her many clients, embracing forward-thinking in an ever-changing video landscape.

In addition to her role managing video buying for her clients, Rose also spearheads the Horizon Advanced group where she and the team continuously seek to address and highlight best practices for enabling and infusing data into video activations as well as educating and consulting clients on the changing landscape. She works with partners in the space to identify best practices for the future of data-infused television activation and vets the value of new non-traditional prospective partners that provide programmatic or addressable TV solutions.

Rose’s work in the advanced television space is focused on evaluating, educating and testing advanced TV opportunities – including addressable, data infused linear buying, automation, OTT and cross platform video.  She is currently working on a number of proprietary initiatives to help inform the planning and activation for Horizon’s national video advertisers.

Outside of work, Sam is an energetic mom of two young children who keep her on her toes! She enjoys travelling with her family, cooking, (or being cooked for!), and reading fiction.
