Pam Bertino is Senior Vice President, Content Distribution of Pop, a CBS/Lionsgate network seen in approximately 80 million homes. Bertino leads Content Distribution and marketing as well as digital and international distribution, while overseeing the network’s Content Distribution and Marketing teams based in Los Angeles. Since joining Pop in 2014, Bertino has helped the network secure new carriage agreements which will add millions of homes in 2016. She reports to David Mandell, General Counsel and COO, Pop. Furthermore, she was instrumental in continuing to grow Pop’s distribution business, including the following:
– Adding millions of new subscribers in 2016 with launches on Cablevision and AT&T
– Securing several key renewals with Verizon and Mediacom, among others
Prior to Pop, Bertino served as Senior Vice President of Content Distribution at Ovation in Los Angeles. During her recent tenure, Bertino led all of the content distribution efforts for all associated products for cross-platform distribution including linear digital and HD networks, on-demand, TV everywhere, and international distribution to cable, satellite operators and digital distributors. In addition, she negotiated affiliation and ancillary product agreements, as well as developed and implemented the sales strategy for the linear analog and digital networks.
Prior to Ovation, Bertino served 15 years at The Weather Channel (TWC), most recently as Vice President, Distribution and served as General Manager of TWC’s Weatherscan network. Her responsibilities at TWC included negotiating cross-platform distribution agreements with top 10 cable and satellite operators for linear analog and digital networks, HD, interactive products, on-demand products, internet and mobile, and other related products. She also managed TWC’s affiliate sales teams in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Previously, Bertino held Vice President and General Management positions at The Weather Channel. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President, Residential Sales at Digital Music Express Inc., and also worked on the Nissan Worldwide account at Chiat/Day/Mojo.
Bertino earned her B.A. from California State University, Fullerton and lives with her eight year old son Kasher in Playa del Rey, CA
