Jocelyn Diaz is Executive Vice President, Original Programming at EPIX, where she oversees all original development and production for the premium television network. Prior to this, she was Vice President, Walt Disney Motion Picture Production, overseeing live-action feature development and production for the studio. She was named to the position in September of 2011. Prior to this, she was Vice President, HBO Entertainment, Drama Series, responsible for overseeing the development and production of dramatic series for the network, including such series as BOARDWALK EMPIRE and BIG LOVE.
Diaz came to HBO from ABC Television, where, since 2006, she held the title of Vice President, Primetime Drama Series and Development, responsible for overseeing creative development and production for drama series for the network. In addition, she worked on ABC’s efforts in international scripted business and development. In 2003, Diaz served as Director, Primetime Current Series, for both comedy and drama; and was made Executive Director, Primetime Drama Series and Development, in 2004. While at ABC Television, Diaz worked on such award-winning series as LOST, UGLY BETTY, PUSHING DAISIES, NYPD BLUE, THE PRACTICE and THE DREW CAREY SHOW.
Diaz hails from the Washington D.C. area and holds a BA in English and Spanish Literature from the University of Virginia.
